Protecting and stewarding Colorado's open lands
for future generations involves big-picture challenges
that no one organization can solve alone.

The Conservation Futures Project is a one-year initiative
united around a common purpose:

To envision and launch a new, statewide coalition that has the vision, capacity and structure to most effectively guide and support the land conservation community as it evolves to meet current and future challenges.

To explore and develop relevant tools for navigating our common path forward – such a stewardship endowment calculator, a modernized valuation model for conservation easements, and collaborative models to support local land trusts.

You are invited to the CFP Fall Summit in Grand Junction, CO, on September 12 from 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. At this summit we will be discussing and designing the final model for the new statewide coalition of land trusts - based on feedback from the April survey, the May Summit in Breckenridge, and the regional meetings that happened around the state in June and July.   The summit is free to attend. Land trust executive directors, board chairs, and engaged staff members are encouraged to attend, as well as public agency and professional partners. And, everyone should plan to join Colorado West Land Trust and the CFP Steering Committee for a fun, outdoor happy hour and dinner at the Lunch Loop/Three Sisters Trailhead following the Summit!
